U.S. Bridge was selected to provide this bridge for the Cherokee National Forest. The Owner was interested in a structure that would blend naturally with the landscape therefore this bridge was fabricated from self weathering steel. All steel was blasted after fabrication to ensure a uniform weather pattern. This bridge was fabricated in two sections and shipped to the job site ready for unloading, assembly and installation by the Contractor. After installation, an asphalt wearing surface was placed on our own 3" x 9" 5 gauge bridge flooring. For a finishing touch, 6" x 12" treated timber railing was installed.
