U.S. Bridge was selected to provide this bridge at the entrance to Sunday River Ski Resort in Bethel, Maine. U.S. Bridge worked closely with the Owner to ensure that their expectations and schedule were met. Self weathering steel was selected as the material of choice for the trusses as the Owner was interested in a steel structure that would blend naturally with the surroundings. To ensure even greater longevity, all steel located under the roadway and between the trusses was galvanized after fabrication. This is a popular combination for many of our customers. After installation, an asphalt overlay was placed on our own 3" x 9" 5 gauge bridge flooring.
