Burlington - Colchester, Vermont
This bridge has an overall length of 555' which consists of two spans at 221' each and one span at 113'. Each bridge span was completely assembled at our facility prior to shipment. Once on site, the center span was assembled on a barge at an elevation higher then the piers, floated into place and then the barge was flooded. As the barge began to sink, the bridge descended on to the piers where it rests today. Fabricated from self weathering steel, this bridge will remain a landmark for generations to come.
